The filming process didn't start today because of unexpected weather. It's been raining and lighting pretty bad. The weather broadcasters are advising that people stay off roads as much as possible. Due to the weather, all of the work I did was from home out of the way of the bad rain storm. I started with using Google Maps and drawing up more possible locations for my scenes. One in particular was the Miramar regional park, that has track and a forest. Those two elements were important to my film so I was very happy to find a place that has both. I also started ordering certain supplies that I would needs for certain scenes in my film. I ordered zip ties for one of my scenes off of amazon. I ordered a location tracker on target and a camera mount from Walmart. I had a sit down talk with my family so we could get on the same page. A couple of my original plans had to be changed due to conflicting schedules with certain family members. For example, I planned on shooting my opening scene on March 8th with my sister but she had a dinner party that night. Another example is me having to change who was acting as my antagonist. At first, I planned on it being my brother but then it changed because he had to stay at college. I also did some surface research on different editing app I could use on my filming. I looked into the app iMovie that is on my iPhone. I loved that it had the voice over option so I could input audio into my film. I also loved the different filters and transitions it offered me. Most importantly the app and its accessories are free.
