Editing Blog

 The editing process was a bit difficult for me. Even though I liked how short time limit, it did present some issues. When I did a rough draft of my commercial, it came out to 42 seconds. I definitely knew I had serious cutting to do because it was 12 seconds over. For each clip I had to read over the scripts and see where I was able to cut off my talking. For example, the exercise scene was 13 seconds long and needed to be modified. The original script read, "The Contigo bottle is amazing for physical activity. Keeping liquids at desired temperatures, allowing users to drink comfortably. The Contigo brand has specific bottles for hot and cold liquids. The Contigo bottle also comes in a variety of colors and prints." I ended up cutting it at "the Contigo bottle is amazing for physical activity. Keeping liquids at desired temperatures, allowing users to drink comfortably." After cutting that clip, it came out to be 7 seconds. I had to do the same thing to the work scene. My original script was "The Contigo bottle is perfect for places like the work spaces. It's seal proof technology protects delicate items from being harmed by liquids. As displayed, the woman knocked over her Contigo bottle over her work laptop. Thanks to the seal proof technology no liquid leaked and the computer was not damaged. After editing the script was cut to "The Contigo bottle is perfect for places like the work spaces. It's seal proof technology protects delicate items from being harmed by liquids". In the end, I was able to get it down to 30 seconds in total.
